Get paid in JMD, at the moment they book.
Inkress is how Bookerva takes card payments in Jamaica. Connect your account once and your booking page can collect a deposit or the full amount in Jamaican Dollars before the appointment is confirmed.
Why connect Inkress.
Priced in JMD, not converted
Your services are priced in Jamaican Dollars and customers are charged in Jamaican Dollars. No USD conversion, no foreign-exchange surprise on the customer's statement.
Card details never touch Bookerva
Customers pay on Inkress' hosted checkout. Bookerva sends the amount and the reference, then reads back the result — card numbers never pass through, or get stored by, Bookerva.
The booking knows it was paid
When a payment succeeds, the matching appointment is marked paid automatically. A reconcile job re-checks pending payments on a schedule, so a dropped webhook doesn't leave a paid booking looking unpaid.
How it works
The short version. The full walkthrough is in the guide.
- 1
Connect Inkress
From Dashboard → Payments, choose to connect Inkress and authorise Bookerva on your Inkress account. If you're running Bookerva inside the Inkress dashboard, this connects itself the first time you open the app.
- 2
Choose where payment applies
Set an account-wide default, then override it per service: no payment, optional, or required. Required means the booking is held until payment succeeds.
- 3
Share your booking page
Priced services now send customers to checkout as part of booking. Payment status shows on every appointment in your dashboard.
What you actually get
Everything on this list ships today — none of it is roadmap.
- Visa and Mastercard payments in Jamaican Dollars via Inkress hosted checkout
- One-click connect from Dashboard → Payments, no API keys to paste
- Account-wide payment policy plus a per-service override (off, optional, or required)
- Required-payment bookings held until the payment succeeds, then confirmed automatically
- Paid / unpaid status written back to the appointment
- A reconcile job that re-checks pending payments so missed webhooks self-heal
- Automatic connection when Bookerva runs embedded in the Inkress merchant dashboard
FAQ
Do I need my own Inkress account?+
Yes — payouts settle to your Inkress account, so it has to be yours. If you don't have one, Bookerva can provision one for you during setup; otherwise connect the account you already use.
Can I take a deposit instead of the full price?+
Yes. Set the amount you want collected at booking and the balance stays due at the appointment. You can apply this to every service or only the ones where no-shows actually cost you.
What happens if a customer abandons checkout?+
On a service set to required, the booking stays held rather than confirmed, so the slot isn't given away to an unpaid booking. On an optional service the booking is confirmed and simply stays marked unpaid.
